Why we do it

On average every year over 400 people drown in the UK alone. In 2002, 34 of these drowned while swimming, 15 of those while in a swimming pool [Rospa].

As the North East is surrounded by gorgeous beaches, lakes and rivers. in at the deep end believe that parents and schools have a responsibility to make sure all children will be safe while in water and know what to do in the event of an emergency.
