in at the deep end are able to provide dedicated services to schools – from education professionals. Mark is currently employed as a teacher in a Sunderland secondary school and so knows exactly what schools require and the constraints placed on funding.
First aid courses are an excellent way to meet many of the National Curriculum targets for PHSE and is especially successful for year six students in the time between completing their SAT’s exams and leaving primary school for the last time!
in at the deep end can provide courses of swimming lessons and top-up lessons to enable students to meet the National Curriculum target of being able to swim 25m by the end of key stage 2. First aid courses and general lifesaving courses can also be delivered to school students at a level appropriate to them.
Within key stages three and four in at the deep end can provide assistance in teaching PHSE topics as well as within the current PE syllabus. Swimming sessions can be provided for students studying GCSE PE and assessed as part of their overall coursework grade. Pool Lifeguard, Bronze Medallion, Life Support and Lifesaving courses can also be ran as part of GCSE PE giving the added bonus of a formal certificated qualification as well as their actual GCSE grade.
